On June 20, the World Dialogue on China Studies • Belgium Forum was held in Brussels. Sixty experts and scholars from China and Europe engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics including Chinese studies and the European view of China, the mechanism and path for China-EU people-to-people and cultural exchanges, the resilience and potential of China-EU economic and trade cooperation, and 210 years of European sinology: Review and prospect. Professor Ge Guilu, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages at our University, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a speech on writing the annals of British sinology: Knowledge context, method and value.

The World Dialogue on China Studies • Belgium Forum is an international academic exchange event under the framework of the World Conference on Chinese Studies. It is sponsored by The State Council Information Office and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, hosted by the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and jointly supported by the European Union Institute of Asian Affairs, the Spanish Zhihua Lecture Hall, and the Chinese Cultural Center in Brussels.
